Productronica 2023: How innovative communication of technology and research works in public spaces

InnoTruck initiative
From the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) how the public can get excited about complex research topics at the Productronica trade fair in Munich from Tuesday to Friday, 14 to 17 November 2023. In a double-decker truck, the initiative invites you to a hands-on exhibition and experience on innovations and important future areas such as Green hydrogen, mobility and sustainability. Visitors will learn from more than 60 examples of how communication on cutting-edge technology topics has been achieved with a wide range of target groups and linked to the recruitment of skilled workers. InnoTruck is located in the concourse between halls A1 and B1.

Munich (09.11.2023) – Whether it is the energy transition, digitalization or sustainable business – in order to solve the major social tasks of our time, we also rely on technical innovations. As the “Innovation Ambassador” of the Federal Research Ministry, the double-decker demonstration vehicle of the InnoTruck Initiative provides clear insights into important research areas during its tour in Germany. At the world-leading trade fair Productronica 2023 at the Munich Exhibition Centre, visitors will gain an insight into the educational methods and methodology of the Information and Dialogue Initiative, which has been a success since 2017. The truck is open daily from 9am to 6pm.

Arouse enthusiasm for technology

“Scientific and technical breakthroughs are an important building block for economic growth, prosperity and employment. At InnoTruck we showcase the future areas in which researchers are currently working to improve our daily lives and quality of life.“, explains biologist Anna Vandebosch, who runs InnoTruck together with botanist Dr. Leonie Weber at Productronica in Munich. The BMBF initiative targets all citizens, but especially young people in the vocational guidance stage.

Through practical demonstration, the BMBF creates a general understanding of the federal government’s innovation policy objectives and promotes dialogue on the question of how to encourage innovations in technical and scientific fields in order to develop their greatest possible benefit. in Hands-on exhibition toursin Illustrative Experiments During discussions with the science team, guests in the truck learn about current research projects, can experience exhibitions and technology demonstrations for themselves or learn about career paths that promise particularly good opportunities.

An interactive exhibition that brings technologies to life

From research to technology and application to future-proof jobs, the InnoTruck mobile exhibition offers a multi-media journey of discovery. With virtual and augmented reality applications, innovations can not only be seen, but also touched and experienced. A collaborative robot shows what collaboration between humans and machines could look like in the future, examples from the mobility field show how transportation transformation can work, and medical technology exhibits showcase advances in health research. Additionally, in a special exhibit on the top floor of the truck, visitors can use an interactive multimedia installation to see how far research has already come in making the future energies of green hydrogen and nuclear fusion usable.
