Updated on 02/14/2022Tomorrow: Trainers will enjoy the next Spotlight Hour in February 2022. You’ll encounter more Smogon and get additional Fang XP. You also have a chance to capture Smogon and SmogSmog as Shiny.
Update from 02/08/2022: And it’s Tuesday again, so tonight between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. is another hour close to the lights. In today’s Spotlight Hour, you’ll meet Parfi, which you can develop into Parfinesse. As a bonus, you get double Stardust during the Spotlight Hour. Unfortunately, Barfi is not (yet) available as a gloss. So today’s lesson is worth it to fill out your Pokédex.

Updated on 01/02/2022February 1st is here and coaches can start the month with Today’s Spotlight Hour. Because today is Tuesday and from 6 pm Leufeo appears more and more in the wild. As of today, Fire Pokémon can also be captured as Shiny, because Pokémon GO’s Lunar New Year event begins today. Below we have all the important information for you Limelight watch with Leufeo Collected.
First report from 27/01/2022San Francisco – January is coming to a close and with it the shortest month of the year is about to begin. Developer Niantic has of course thought of some events for Pokémon GO players* and Spotlight Hours is also focusing on new Pokémon. Trainers can face these four Pokemon in February.
Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hours February 2022 – Here’s How It Works
What is the spotlight hour? Spotlight Hours is a recurring weekly event in Pokémon GO. Every Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, certain Pokémon are in the spotlight and appear frequently in the wild. The bonus is also activated during this time, which rewards coaches with more stardust, candy, or XP.
All dates of lights hour: There are four hours of lights in February, after all, February is the shortest month of the year. Here you can see all the dates, pokemon and bonuses at a glance:
Date | Pokemon | bonus |
---|---|---|
the first of february | levio | XP . development |
February 8 | Perfume | stardust |
February 15 | smog* | DISCOVER EXP |
February 22 | Voltobal * | Candy |
What Pokémon will be there in February 2022? In February 2022, the focus will be on Pokémon Leufeo, Parfi, Smogon and Voltobal. Leufeo and Parfi both come from the sixth generation of the game, while Voltobal and Smogon have been around since the first generation.
Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour February 1st – Leufeo and XP
What are the bonuses there? February starts on a Tuesday, so you can meet Leufeo live on February 1st in the limelight hours. Fire/Normal Pokémon can evolve into a Pyroleo. Developments also awards double experience points during the Spotlight Hour.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? Unfortunately, neither Leufeo nor further development Pyroleo are strong attackers. So this watch is only worth it if you don’t already have a Leufeo and a Pyroleo. Thanks to the XP bonus, you should save your evolutions until this hour. Then you can reap twice the amount of experience points in development.
Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour February 8 – Barfi and Stardust
What are the bonuses there? On February 8, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., trainers will meet with the Pokemon fairy Barfi. This could develop into an attraction. Catching Pokemon will earn you double Stardust during the Spotlight Hour.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? Like Leufeo, Parfi is also not useful as a striker in Pokémon GO. If you love playing PvP, it’s still worth standing out for Premier League and Rampage. So this spotlight hour is only worth it as a Pokédex filler.
Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour February 15 – Smogon and XP
What are the bonuses there? Poison Pokémon Smogon has been known to players since the first generation and can evolve into Smogmog. In addition, it can also appear as shiny. The Spotlight Hour with Smogon on February 15th will give you double the amount of Catch XP.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? Unfortunately, Kanto’s Poison Pokémon doesn’t play a major role as a striker either. Neither in boss battles nor in raids it makes no sense to use it. However, there is a chance to capture Smogon and Smogmog as Shiny. Trainers must use the Hour of Lights on February 15th to catch as many Pokémon as possible and thus collect double experience points.
Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour on February 22 – Voltobal and Candy
What are the bonuses there? The electric-type Voltobal will end the spotlight hours in February 2022. Like Smogon, Voltobal has been in the game since the first generation and could evolve into Lectrobal. Catching Pokemon will give Candy double at the last hour of Spotlight on February 22nd.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? Also, Voltobal and Lektrobal are not strong attackers in raids or boss battles. But you can catch both as brilliant, even if the chances of it don’t increase in the spotlight hours. Therefore, trainers must use the last hour of lights in February to get double the candy to catch Pokémon.
So the spotlight hours in February 2022 aren’t the best either. Trainers must use it primarily to take advantage of the rewards or to fill their Pokédex. But there are many events in February in Pokémon GO. At the moment, players have to prevent the capture of the GO Rocket team and fight against the countless bullies.
