At a joint launch meeting in Ireland, participants outlined the first steps of the project. In order to be able to optimally assess where the qualification offer should start, a comprehensive survey of the target groups must be conducted. This work package is coordinated at the University of Westphalia. “The jointly developed tool for self-assessment of digital skills provides the starting point for subsequent learning modules. “The survey will be made available in the native language of the participating European project countries,” explains project officer Stephanie Krebs.

Online survey and events

The survey and subsequent qualification modules target a broad target group: physicians, nursing staff and functional services staff such as radiology. Staff from management, directors, executives and other professional groups from the healthcare sector are also encouraged to participate. “We are looking forward to numerous self-evaluations of digital capabilities, because this is the only way to develop tailored educational offers. Our goal is to create European training modules that take into account the wants and needs of different disciplines,” says Haseler.

The survey can be accessed until January 31, 2024 at the following website: https://ddsmap.easpd.eu/survey

A total of approximately €2.4 million is available for the implementation of the DDS-Map project; About €2 million was provided through the European Union’s EU4Health programme. In addition to Southeastern University of Technology (Ireland) and Westphalia University of Applied Sciences, institutes from all over Europe are participating.
