Microsoft Germany celebrates its 40th birthday: from computers to AI technology

40 years ago, Microsoft opened its first office in Germany in Unterhaching near Munich. To celebrate Christmas, Microsoft Germany has now opened Europe’s first “Experience Center”. The technology company from Redmond is deeply rooted in the Bavarian capital and wants to continue to help shape Germany’s digitalization from there. Microsoft Germany opens a hotspot for digitization and innovation

With the ceremonial opening of the Center of Expertise in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, which was held by the Bavarian Prime Minister Dr. Markus Söder attended, and Microsoft Germany is expanding its presence to include a hotspot for digitization, innovation, and the future. There, customers, partners and guests can experience technology up close – through physical and virtual showcases as well as immersive worlds. The EMEA Experience Center in Munich is the first European location for the Microsoft Experience Center and the fourth location worldwide after Silicon Valley, Atlanta and Singapore.
