As part of the IAA International Motor Show, several Hyundai Motor Group employees traveled to Munich. invenio Virtual Technologies (invenio VT) took this opportunity to invite its new business partner from South Korea to the Ismaning offices for two days and get to know him better in a workshop. The technology and consulting company was supported by its long-time client BMW.

Whether in Germany, Europe or Asia: engineering testing or virtual engineering verification is of interest to OEMs around the world. This is how the initial contact between Hyundai Motor Group and invenio VT took place: As part of the prostep ivip symposium 2022, representatives of the two companies met for the first time in Böblingen. During the discussions, it quickly became clear that topics such as collisions, distance violations and automatic processing of 3D data are also relevant for Hyundai Motor Group and that the car manufacturer is looking for new solutions. At the beginning of this year, the two companies finally decided to test the quality control device as a proof of concept for a few months.

Both partners are satisfied with the result, as was evident during the Hyundai Motor Group delegation’s visit to Ismaning: Although Hyundai Motor Group’s in-house cloud solutions initially presented challenges for the Invenio VT program and its developers, in the end, the quality control was once again impressed With automatic calculations, smart function management and general AI functions. In the VT offices, Hyundai Motor Group and invenio VT talked, among others, about what Hyundai Motor Group’s PDM systems could look like in the future. On the second day, BMW experts reported on their experiences with quality control, thus providing valuable practical insights.
