Shenzhen Huawei has replaced more than 13,000 parts affected by US trade sanctions in its products. This is according to the text of a February 24 letter to the founder of the Chinese company, Ren Zhengfei.
Huawei has replaced components affected by US trade sanctions with domestic Chinese products and redesigned 4,000 circuit boards for its products over the past three years, according to a letter published by China’s Shanghai Jiao Tong University on Friday.
Printed circuit board production has stabilized. In 2022, Huawei will invest $23.8 billion in research and development. Reuters could not independently verify the information.
