Phoenix Labs has confirmed all the updates and improvements for Dauntless in its version for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S, which has already been officially released: December 2. The free-to-play role-playing title will retain all of the existing cross-play features on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via the Epic Games Store) on next-generation consoles: cross-play multiplayer and cross-progression, ensuring that we can continue our game on platforms different.
Next Generation Monster Hunting: All Improvements Confirmed
“With the launch of the Dauntless experience on next-generation consoles, you will see a huge improvement in the game with higher-resolution graphics and faster load times,” they commented on the official portal.
According to reports, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will offer 4K dynamic resolution of up to 60 frames per second. On Xbox Series S, the resolution will be 1440p with up to 60 frames per second.

Dauntless will reduce load times by 90% on PS5 and Xbox Series
Another Quality of Life detail is load times, now 90% faster. For their part, PlayStation and Xbox players will have access to 36 new trophies and achievements, including the new Platinum Trophy on Sony devices. Additionally, Dauntless will be compatible with the dynamic adaptive triggers and amplifier built into the PlayStation 5 DualSense console; Added 3D audio support. Dauntless is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, Epic Games Store for PC, and Nintendo Switch. Monster Hunting begins December 2 on PS5 and Xbox Series.
