Edson ‘some’ of Corinthians and reaches seven matches without entering the field

Last Sunday, Edson made his seventh game without entering the field for Corinthians. Since replacing Gabriel Pereira in the 36th minute of the second half in the match against Chapecoense, the boy has not been called up by Sylvinho, either for the starting lineup or as an option coming off the bench.

Since that match, he has faced Timão Fortaleza, Atlético-MG, Cuiabá, Flamengo, Santos, Ceará and Athletico. Adson is listed for all of these matches. Exactly one round before, when Corinthians visited Atlético, the boy suffered a difficult entry from Thiago Heleno, which led to a leg injury and an absence of more than a month from the team.

Prior to the event, Adson had reached the five-game winning streak as a starter. When he recovered, he returned as a reserve. He entered the field against Red Bull Bragantino, Bahia, Sport, Fluminense and Sao Paulo – the latter was a regular starter.

In his first year as a professional, Adson played 23 games in four different competitions. The boy was present in 12 victories, five draws and six defeats, in addition to scoring three goals. Although they have already won a place in the 2022 Libertadores, Corinthians de Sylvinho still have two rounds to play in Brazil.

Next Sunday, he will face Timão Grêmio at the Neo Química Arena, and on December 9, he will visit Juventude to close out the season. Thus, the chance for Edson to return to the team so as not to extend the absence period, which is already greater than the number of embezzlement matches due to injury.
