the Sharp NEC Display Solutions Europe GmbH Headquartered in Munich, it launches a new solution with the NEC FC series, which is equipped with chip-on-board (CoB) technology. The units feature high contrast values and particular energy efficiency. The housings are adopted from the well-established F series, which is known for its durability, ease of installation, forward maintenance, and flexible use.

With deep blacks and high contrast values of up to 20,000:1, the LEDs in the NEC FC series make content particularly vivid and effective in any ambient light. The modules are available with three precise pixel pitches of 0.95mm, 1.2mm and 1.5mm, so that ideal display accuracy can also be achieved for short viewing distances. At the same time, the new CoB technology is more energy efficient and, according to the manufacturer, consumes about 40 percent less energy than standard SMD LED technology with the same brightness.

The smooth surface protects against dust and dripping water. This makes the FC Series highly versatile for use in high-traffic locations, such as public spaces, in train stations, airports, museums and recreational facilities or in businesses. Sharp / NEC is a safe investment as CoB technology means strong and durable fixtures.

“The proven 16:9 format housing design of our F models offers FC series users a number of advantages,” says Nils Detje, dvLED Solutions product manager at Sharp NEC Display Solutions Europe. “It enables them to quickly and easily install wall-mounted or freestanding LED surfaces, which can also be easily resized. In this way, they can flexibly create unique surface shapes and sizes that match individual application scenarios and spatial conditions.”
