BenQ X3100i: New 240Hz gaming monitor

The BenQ X3000i gaming monitor (PRAD News) that was released last year will have a successor model soon. It’s not clear whether the new X3100i will replace or complement its predecessor. However, the new product offers a 3,300 lumen LED light source instead of 3,000 ANSI, a 600,000:1 contrast ratio and a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (Full HD) with a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz and an input delay of just 4.2 ms.

If you want, you can also view 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) content via upscaling, but then with a 60Hz and 16.7ms input lag. The DLP model is also advertised as having 95 percent Rec.709, 100 percent DCI-P3, 3D, and HDR10 support, and an LED life of up to 20,000 hours (Normal) or 30,000 hours (Eco/SmartEco). You also don’t have to do without keystone correction (horizontal and vertical), lens shift (vertical) and an Android 11 dongle.

In terms of interfaces, AirPlay, Bluetooth 5.0, HDMI 2.0b (with eARC), S/PDIF, USB-A and Wi-Fi 5 (dual-band) are available. the BenQ X3100i It has two 5-watt internal speakers, draws 330 watts of typical power on a 110-volt network, has an operating volume of 28dB (eco) or 32dB (normal), and will be available from mid-October 2023 for $2,399. EUR (RRP) will be available. A remote control is included in delivery.
