Alienware has opened its third training center for e-sports and young talent in collaboration with Team Liquid. In addition to the “Rainbow Six Siege” roster, the staff will also work in Sao Paulo, events will be held and young talents will be trained.

what is he talking about?

  • Team Liquid is one of the most successful esports teams in the world and has international rosters for various games.
  • In order to upgrade their players in the best way possible, Team Liquid built their first training center in Los Angeles in collaboration with Alienware in 2017.
  • With 13 floors and about 3,092 square meters of floor space, the new center is huge and twice the size of the other two training centers in Utrecht (Netherlands) and Los Angeles (California).

What exactly was unlocked? São Paulo is now home to Alienware’s third training facility — or AWTF for short. The building houses high-performance Alienware computers that the team uses to train and prepare for future tournaments.

Why in Brazil of all places? Team Liquid’s roster for Rainbow Six Siege is primarily made up of Brazilian players. In addition, the Valorant and Fortnite teams are based in Brazil, as well as other employees who take care of the various activities related to the team.

Additionally, Team Liquid already operates a training center with Alienware in both Europe and North America, which makes South America an even more attractive location. The country’s large fan base also benefits from this, because the building has an event hall and fan area.

Several million dollars for customizations

own building? The complete renovation and customization of the downtown São Paulo building cost the team and Alienware millions of dollars. Construction procedures were necessary to adapt the existing building to the needs of the team. There are many office buildings in the heart of the city, but its infrastructure was not suitable for an esports team.

Why is it worth it? Team Liquid has already invested in its future with facilities located in North America and Europe, because in addition to the current players who train there, young esports talents are also trained. Team Liquid is now securing new players in three locations.

Especially in Brazil, the team also has other plans: regular events and tournaments are held in the center to strengthen the esports community in Brazil. In addition, the Game Changers World Championship will be held in the City of Millions this year – a big and exclusive tournament.

By the way, even Twitch streamers are now trying their hand at e-sports teams: Twitch streamers found e-sports teams in Valorant and bought very expensive stars: “And how can you make money on them now?”
