This is bug information for update software KB5032288 for Windows 11 builds 22H2/23H2 distributed on Windows Update on December 5, 2023.

Background Information

KB5032288 is a cumulative update called Preview Release for Windows 11 22H2/23H2 builds. This update will improve functionality and fix bugs. However, please note that this is just a preview version.

This update does not contain any new vulnerability fixes and there is no security issue if you do not install it.

According to Microsoft, Copilot in Windows may not be usable (or enabled) in environments where this issue may occur.

When you install Windows 11, version 23H2 using installation media (ISO), Narrator may not start or become unresponsive.

This issue only occurs when installing Windows 11 23H2 from installation media (during the installation process). This does not happen when installing Windows 11 23H2 via Windows Update.

According to Microsoft, once the Windows 11 23H2 installation is complete, Narrator should work properly again.
