LG launches three new UltraGear series monitors: two UltraGear 32GQ950 (4K resolution, 160Hz) and 32GB Q850 (QHD resolution, 260Hz) models that use LCD panels and each have a diagonal of 32 inches. In contrast, the LG UltraGear 48GQ900 relies on a massive 48-inch diagonal with 4K resolution and 120Hz with an OLED panel as the basis. In addition to DisplayPort 1.4, all three monitors also have HDMI 2.1 as an interface.
This then opens up the possibility of combining existing game consoles like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X with gaming monitors. Especially since the monitors are DTS:X Headphones certified according to the manufacturer. Two LCD monitors are also certified for VESA DisplayHDR 600 (32GQ850) or 1000 (32GQ950). The LG UltraGear 32GQ850 has even been certified for the new VESA AdaptiveSync monitor, making it one of the first monitors allowed to be advertised.
LG has already confirmed that it wants to expand its lineup of games. Therefore, in addition to the new UltraGear monitors, a gaming mouse and mousepad under the brand’s logo will also appear during the year.
Unfortunately, the release dates and pricing for the three new UltraGear monitors are still open. It will be launched for the first time in Japan at the end of May 2022. In Europe, they should take notice shortly after that. Certainly, LG Germany will contribute the missing information in time for publication.
