The theme of “21st UE5 Petit Con'', a game development competition specializing in Unreal Engine (hereinafter referred to as UE) sponsored by Historia, was announced as “Osu'' and entries began. This competition is accepting entries for the period from February 16, 2024 (Friday) to April 7, 2024 (Sunday).

UE5 Petit Con is set up as a competition for learning UE, and you can submit works created with UE, especially games. It is held regularly for a wide range of people, from UE beginners to experienced users, based on the concept “Make something quickly in 2-3 days and apply quickly”. The competition has been held 25 times so far, and has attracted a lot of interest, with more than 4,000 entries received.
A different theme is announced each time at UE5 Petit Con on the first day of the event, and participants have a short period of time (about a month and a half) to create works based on the theme. Everyone can participate, from professionals to amateurs, and many people can form teams to participate.
This year's theme, “Osu”, can be interpreted in many ways; For example, it could be a toy that physically expresses the action of “push,” an action that depicts the spirit of “Oso!” Which provides psychological support. Or something that could be interpreted as a fan. A wide range of ideas are expected, including games with a 'push' theme.

Additionally, as a side event to the contest, the “21st UE5 Petit Con Game Jam” will be held offline for two days on Saturday, March 2, 2024 and Sunday, March 3, 2024. The goal of this event is for participants to collaborate and complete the game using a total of 12 hours of production time . On the last day, we will announce the games we have created and submit them to UE5 Petit Con.
The Historia-sponsored Game Jam will take place in Tokyo, but will also be held in Osaka and Nagoya at the same time. This event welcomes all game developers, including those interested in creating games with UE5, those participating in the competition for the first time, and those who are regulars.
