After several internal benchmarks from AMD regarding the performance of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which will be released next Thursday, have now leaked again, AMD’s “Ultimate Gaming Processor” is sometimes much faster than Intel’s regular faster hybrid processor. Processor from the current Core-i-13000 (“Raptor Lake-S”) series.
AMD sees the Ryzen 7 7800X3D up to 31 percent ahead
While results leaked to Tom’s Hardware just last month put the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, due out April 6, between 13 and 24 percent in the four selected gaming titles, ahead of the Intel Core i9-13900K, the new benchmarks are based on a broader gaming foundation. . The percentage reaches 31 percent and 7 percent average.
Based on these results, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor can easily handle the special limited edition, the 6GHz Core i9-13900KS, from Intel’s hybrid portfolio. Of course, the benchmark scores for these selected games have only limited validity in terms of gaming performance, but they do indicate the capabilities of the CPU.
Will the Ryzen 7 7800X3D be the “ultimate gaming CPU”?
AMD talks about the “Ultimate Gaming Processor” in regards to the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and there are already many indications that this CPU may become the first choice for gamers. 8 Zen 4 cores, 16 threads, up to 5 GHz and a total of 104 MiByte cache (L2 + L3) with a TDP of 120 W, priced between 500 and 550 euros, it can already represent the best overall package so far for many players. The biggest question mark is again availability, as the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D example shows.
PCGH emulates 7800X3D and 7600X3D
AMD’s two new Ryzen processors with 3D V-Cache from the 7000th generation were convincing in the test. The 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X3D is currently the processor spearhead in terms of performance in games. The Ryzen 9 7900X3D was also convincing in the test by the PCGH editorial team, just like its older brother with extremely high performance and efficiency.
For a first look at the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and a possible “Ryzen 5 7600X3D”, PCGH took 16 and 12 cores and turned off the CCD: emulating the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and Ryzen 5 7600X3D.
