LACIE introduces new flash drives and secure mobile drivesThe specialist in external storage solutions lacyLtd., a Seagate company, introduced updated versions of its Mobile Drive and Mobile Drive Secure product lines. Portable hard drives have been given a new design by Neil Poulton, longtime LaCie home and yard designer.
The cans are made of aluminum and recycled plastic. The packaging is also made from recycled materials. Portable hard drives are available in 1, 2, 4, and 5 TB storage capacities and can be used on Mac, iPad, and PC via USB-C without further configuration. Includes a one-month membership to the Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps plan and LaCie Toolkit. This enables on-demand and time-controlled backups. LaCie offers a three-year limited warranty and three-year rescue recovery services for data recovery.

LMP combines a USB-C docking station with NVME SSD storage
With the USB-C DuoDock, LMP combines external connectivity options and memory expansion. The silver aluminum casing can be docked directly to the iMac 24″ M1 (2021) base with a magnetic clip. Alternatively, it can be used as a standalone device on any other Mac with a USB-C port.
The Swiss manufacturer, which specializes in Apple accessories, has equipped the dock with three USB-A ports, one for each USB-C port, HDMI 2.0 and a Gigabit Ethernet interface, as well as an SD and microSD card reader. For example, a keyboard, mouse, printer, and 4K @ 60Hz monitor can be connected, and it can read SD and micro SD storage media and transfer data at speeds of up to 1000MB. At the same time, the host can be supplied with up to 100 watts of power via the USB-C port via Power Delivery 3.0.
