The first game festival in Lucerne starts today

Dreaming of a spontaneous weekend? Today, September 3 and tomorrow September 4, Lucerne’s first gaming event, the “Game Hotel”, will be held at Lake Sempach in central Switzerland.

The first game festival in central Switzerland will be held at the Sempachersee Hotel and Conference Center in Nottwil and is therefore simply called the ‘Game Hotel’. A total of 40 rooms will be converted for the grand event and should attract game lovers in the first place.

Offer includes VR, multiplayer, free play area, and board game area. There will also be encounters with well-known influencers on the scene as well as workshops, game sessions (Super Smash Bros, Fifa and more), and game-inspired food and drinks like Sonic Mojito and Bowser’s Hot Dogs.

The main reason behind the idea was that the hotel wanted to attract more guests, especially during the weekend, and wanted to raise awareness. Up to 2,000 participants can attend the event in beautiful Lucerne.

However, the event shouldn’t be a thing for die-hard gamers only.

The event should be held regularly in the future

Admission, including a welcome drink, costs CHF 10 per person. Family tickets for up to 5 people with a welcome drink are available for CHF 30. If you want to stay all weekend, you pay CHF235, including accommodation and meals.
