SK Gaming is adding another promising player to its FIFA Team. Shortly after FLEXXOOO admired Gunther internationally, the eSport clan secured the 23-year-old’s services.
Felix ‘FLEXXOOO’ Günther is the new eSports athlete in SK Gaming.
It’s the beginning of Felix ‘FLEXXOOO’ Günther’s career, for newcomer SK Gaming is the first e-sports professional team in his life. The decisive factor for his commitment was supposed to be a huge success in February: in the eChampions League qualifiers, Gunther jumped to the top 32 as an outside player, and was thus allowed to compete in the knockout stage. Only one German has succeeded in this feat: Benedikt ‘BeneCR7x’ Bauer of VfL Wolfsburg. In the eChampions League Live Event on May 1st and 2nd, “FLEXXOOO” SK Gaming will be on the big stage for the first time.
Günther commented on his new post on social media: “I am very happy to be able to take this step and look forward to the upcoming assignments with SK Gaming.” He had already proven his potential with his successful qualification. At the age of 23, he is no longer considered a young talent, although he was relatively unknown in the German scene prior to FIFA 21. Due to her origins, “FLEXXOOO” is well-suited to SK Gaming – and thus also her partner club 1. FC Köln – due to her ancestry: He comes from Cologne and benefits from a short walk to his team’s training center.
“FLEXXOOO” completes the FIFA trilogy
At SK Gaming, “FLEXXOOO” fills the gap in the squad created by the departure of Timo ‘Praii’ Gruneisen. The experienced electronic athlete ended his career as an active professional FIFA player on March 31. It is not known if Günther’s commitment is related to Gronizen’s exit. In the future, the newcomer will team up with Michael ‘Phenomeno’ Gherman and Tim ‘TheStrxngeR’ Katnawatos. The duo reached the semi-finals in the final round of the VBL Club Championship and should be able to help Günther in his fun development.
