Samsung will launch the Odyssey Neo G7 in the first quarter of 2023, according to the company, its first gaming monitor with Quantum Mini-LED technology. In addition, the monitor offers a large 43-inch screen with a resolution of 4K and a refresh rate of 144Hz. Pricing and availability are still pending.
In addition to other screen manufacturers such as Asus and Philips, Samsung has now seized the opportunity in the new year and introduced another gaming screen. This is a very special example because it’s the company’s first small flat LED gaming monitor, like Samsung in its lineup press release announce. It’s about the Odyssey Neo G7 with model number G70NC.
However, it is not the first Neo G7 that Samsung has launched. The manufacturer from South Korea introduced new models (with the same name) in June last year, but with a screen diagonal of 32 inches. On the other hand, the G70NC is much larger and comes in at 43 inches on the table, not to mention its new form factor.
Specifications of the first flat LED mini game screen
Samsung’s Odyssey Neo G7 should be impressive with its 4K resolution, which is expressed at 3840 x 2160 pixels. The refresh rate is also 144 Hz. According to Samsung, the gaming monitor’s special feature is Matrix Quantum technology, which uses tiny LEDs, which aims to ensure ultra-precise and precise control of the densely packed LEDs. The advantages are richer black tones, an expanded color scheme, and more detail, even in shady gaming environments. In addition, the screen is matte, which reduces light reflections on the screen.

The Odyssey Neo G7 has a minimum brightness of 300, 400 cd/m², 1ms MPRT response time, static contrast ratio of 4,250:1 and dynamic 1,000,000:1. The 43-inch model range also includes VESA DisplayHDR 600 and HDR10 +. The Odyssey Neo G7 also supports Freesync Premium Pro from AMD. In addition, the screen size can vary between 43 and 20 inches with the Flex Move Screen feature, as well as the position of the screen.
With Samsung’s Game Bar, users should also be able to see and change frame rate, aspect ratio, HDR, and VRR without leaving the game screen. In addition, Samsung Gaming Hub and Smart Hub features are integrated into the Odyssey Neo G7. The former is an “all-in-one game streaming discovery platform” while the latter allows access to Smart TV.
On the connectivity side, the new mini-LED gaming monitor has DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 twice as well, plus two USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet LAN connections, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.2. Samsung’s new Odyssey Neo G7 is supposed to be available from the first quarter of this year. The manufacturer has not yet published an EIA.
