Tickets for Pokémon GO Fest 2022 cost just under €17 and should bring special benefits to players. But now they describe the event as a bittersweet rip.

Update from 06/08/2022: A few days passed and Niantic responded to the criticism surrounding GO Fest. The statement sent to our editors read: “We have received feedback, including comments that the brilliant rate has been low. There are more GO Fest 2022 events coming this summer in Berlin, Seattle and Sapporo, as well as the closing event of GO Fest 2022. We will prepare these events based on your feedback and game balance.”

Now it remains to be seen if Niantic will actually react and improve the upcoming GO Fests at a brilliant rate. On July 1st, GO Fest starts in Berlin. German coaches there will notice.

Update from 6/6/2022: After Pokémon GO Fest 2022, more and more dissatisfaction with Shinys is spreading among fans over the weekend. on me Twitter The Pokémon GO Hub account has started a survey about how they feel about the Shinys chance increase and how it varies during the festivities. The result is shockingly clear: 75% of respondents were “dissatisfied” and were expecting more. On the other hand, less than 3.9% chose “awesome” as the most positive answer option.

Several comments on the survey say they only spotted one Shiny in a whole day. In the eyes of fans, this falls short of the “increased chance” Niantic has announced of acquiring a shiny Pokémon. Meanwhile, an official statement from Niantic regarding the situation in Pokémon GO Fest 2022 is still pending.

Niantic, you have lost all my respect.

The post has already received 6,368 upvotes on Reddit. So it doesn’t appear that EvilTortoise is alone with the criticism. Comments below the post also indicate that many fans see Pokémon GO Fest 2022 as a disappointment. There are many comments that mention the last festival, i.e. GO Fest 2021, much better.
