Palworld has fewer players

Palworld has fewer players

It has sold millions of units and more reports than almost any other game has received in recent years. Palworld has taken Steam by storm. But was it just noise?

Initially, players from all over the world purchased the title and word of mouth continued to grow. This was also reflected in sales and player numbers.

Now the hype seems to have largely died down. According to Steam Charts and Steam, the numbers are clear.

But what is the reason for the rapid decline? Is it because of the game? Developer studio Pocketpair recently shared a screenshot showing that they are doing everything for their community of players.

Palworld's servers alone cost 70 million yen. This equates to about 409,000 francs per month. In terms of content, new updates are also coming almost every day, which aim to make the world surrounding Palworld more interesting.

Some players had heated discussions about Steam and chats. One reason for this may be that the hype has been created artificially.

Many players praised the game so much that their friends also bought the game. However, the open-world survival format is not suitable for everyone.

One player tells us: “I didn't get into the gameplay, even though my friends love the game. It brought my game back.” Many units were canceled again.

Additionally, the development studio announced that it has “very few employees” to keep Palworld running smoothly, Gamesworld reports. They are looking for new employees while at the same time fighting against cheaters and exploiting users.

It remains to be seen whether the number of players will stabilize as in “Counter-Strike” and “PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS”.
