As Blizzard just announced, Overwatch will get cross-play support in June. For the first time, players will be able to play together across platforms. This is made possible by the latest update. This makes it possible to unite efforts all over the world and regardless of the platform used. For now, the new functionality is starting as a multiplayer beta.

With the new global update, friend lists for different regions will be combined so that players on do not have to switch between regions to play with their friends on the other side of the planet.

Overwatch Crossplay

In order to release the cross-play functionality in Overwatch, all players must create a account and link their console accounts to Until December 31, 2021, in celebration of the release of Crossplay Beta, players will receive a Gold Loot Chest when linking and logging into Overwatch. Overwatch’s Crossplay Beta will officially launch on June 22 for PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox.
