No Man’s Sky hasn’t gone through five crazy years, has it? The game celebrates its fifth anniversary today – August 9 at the time of writing – and it lasted for a long time, Long track since those early days of the split. Huge and consistent updates have turned No Man’s Sky into a true sci-fi epic, and Hello Games founder Sean Murray is happy to recall the game’s defining moments on the PlayStation Blog.
He writes: “We knew it was the beginning of a journey, but we didn’t expect it to be a crazy rush. Today we’d like to take a moment to enjoy this step together. It wasn’t always easy, but our guiding star has always been the players and the community. Behind every update, every video, every feature and line To note the patch, there is a team that cares a lot about this game.”
But what’s next for No Man’s Sky? Well, Murray concludes his article with the excitement of “The Frontier” – the next major update. “As we move forward into 2021, the upcoming Frontiers update is something that excites me. In some ways, this is just another update, but in other ways, it’s a missing piece of sci-fi fantasy that we’ve always wanted to add, and so fitting for our five-year anniversary.” Murray continues to stress that Frontiers is “not far away” and that more information will come “very soon.”
