Clark introduces a newly developed low-platform electric truck equipped with lithium-ion (Li-Ion) technology. The vehicle, bearing the model name PWio20, has a loading capacity of 2,000 kg and is designed for the most demanding pedestrian applications. The low lift pickup truck is highly maneuverable and shows its capabilities especially when transporting heavy loads in goods distribution, production or in the warehouse.

The pallet truck comes with a powerful, long-lasting Li-ion battery and a built-in charger. The Li-Ion battery has a capacity of 24 volts (100 Ah) and can be charged at any time and within a very short period of time – for example during rest periods – without damaging the battery or shortening its life. The battery can be recharged at any 230V socket. This means that the pallet truck has a high level of availability and can therefore also be used for use in multiple shifts. Thanks to Li-Ion technology, the operator not only benefits from high productivity. It also saves maintenance, infrastructure and battery replacement costs. This makes a Li-Ion car worthwhile for anyone who wants to power a maintenance-free, long-lasting, fast-charging battery with high safety standards.

Versatile and powerful

The PWio20 is equipped with a maintenance-free 1.6 kW encapsulated three-phase traction motor. This ensures strong acceleration and a high driving speed of up to a maximum of 5.5 km/h. The low pallet truck also scores points with its compact design and good maneuverability: the turning radius is 1320 mm. Its body length is only 470 mm (dimension L2), its overall width is 714 mm and its weight is 280 kg. “This makes the PWio20 extremely light and compact and ideal for use in tight work areas, such as warehouse areas, sales rooms or for transport on trucks. The improved side support rollers also give the vehicle excellent stability and climbing ability when transporting materials on uneven road surfaces and slopes.

Intuitive and safe operation

To ensure intuitive and fatigue-free operation of the vehicle, all controls are placed within easy reach of the ergonomic drawbar and can be operated by right- or left-handed people. Thanks to the purely electric lifting and lowering, the operator can move heavy loads comfortably and efficiently without much physical effort. To ensure a high level of safety during use, the car brakes automatically when the drawbar is released.

Low operating costs through ease of maintenance

The use of proven AC controllers makes the PWio20 low profile pallet truck a very easy to maintain warehouse utility. However, in the event of a malfunction, the error code on the display will provide the service technician with information about the possible cause. The car provides easy access for service and maintenance. In addition, the service technician can easily program all driving parameters via the vehicle’s display.
