Nacon Revolution 5 Pro: a controller with Hall effect technology released

Manufacturer Nacon has added a new controller to its lineup with the Revolution 5 Pro. The officially licensed console, developed in collaboration with Mr. Crimson, one of the most popular fighting game players, is sure to impress even the most demanding gamers and scores points with innovative features like hall effect technology.

Hall Effect technology is also one of the key features of the Revolution 5 Pro. This technology is intended to prevent friction between individual parts, and according to Nacon, it has been integrated into both the actuators and sticks. This is intended to reduce the risk of so-called “stick drift” and premature wear and increase the durability of the Revolution 5 Pro.

According to the manufacturer, the controller is compatible with PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC, in both wireless and wired modes. For the latter, the Revolution 5 Pro has a 3-meter removable cable. The battery life is said to be over 10 hours to ensure long gaming sessions without interruption in charging.

The controller also has a trigger stop. This allows the resistance of the actuators to be individually adjusted. Using the associated app (on PC/Mac, later also available for mobile devices), the controller can also be individually adapted to your playing style.

However, extensive customizability is one of the controller’s biggest advantages. Up to four profiles can be saved per platform. There are also three sets of weights, three stick bases, three stick heads, and 60 customization options. The buttons on the back of the controller can also be freely mapped using key combinations. Using multipoint wireless connectivity, game audio can also be transferred directly to a Bluetooth audio device via the console.
