Designer Anton Brusseau is looking into the distant future with his Moto Sapien concept. Sci-fi components of networks and biomechanics are already real.
Anton Brousseau has already gained experience as a professional motorcycle designer: The Canadian native worked for four years at Kiska in Austria, where he built future models for KTM and Husqvarna, among others. Anton remained in Austria, but since then he has been self-employed.
future visions
Since Anton Brousseau is also interested in anatomy, biomechanics, and networks as well as design, he has translated his vision for the motorcycles of the future into a concrete concept. He calls it Moto Sapien, meaning Moto Sapiens, derived from Homo Sapiens. The basic ideas consist of several individual aspects: basically, it is about a direct connection between the human brain and the computer on board the motorcycle, including artificial intelligence. The close human-machine link must be combined with artificial muscles as variable components of the structure.
Driving dynamics on the next level
Anton explains how he came up with such bold ideas: “Detours when processing information slow us down. Everything happens indirectly, through the eyes and ears, as well as human motor skills. Imagine that we can drive a motorcycle directly, in a matter of milliseconds, our thoughts Moreover, let us imagine if we could feel the tires as finely as possible with the sense of touch in our fingers.”
Some technology already exists
Admittedly, that still seems pretty unrealistic today. But at least part of the “Neuralink” interface technology described by Anton is already available. For example in the medical field, for prosthetics or for voice control. Even artificial muscles developed long ago, electrically, using nanotechnology and carbon strengthening, are up to 30 times stronger than human muscles of the same weight – according to the current situation, and development will continue. The cameras on the front and rear of the motorcycle can also be visualized as additional eyes. Anton estimates that “in 2050, it might be a good time for a Moto Sapien.” Then certainly with an electric motor, as planned for 2022: 375 volts, 100 kW (136 hp) and a range of 450 kilometers.

conclusion
Thrilling Sci-Fi Motorcycle. The Moto Sapien concept by Anton Brousseau is a futuristic vision of a much closer relationship between man and machine than we’ve seen before.
