iOS17.5 and iPadOS17.5 Beta 3 were released about a week ago, and Apple has now released Beta 4 to developers.
Beta 4 released for iOS17.5 and iPadOS17.5 developers
The release notes for iOS17.5 and iPadOS17.5 Developer Beta 4 include information about new features and resolved bugs for developers.
In iOS17.5 and iPadOS17.5 Beta 4, previously detected bugs have been replaced with resolved bugs.
Beta 3 added a new Apple Universal Link for eSIM installation.
In Beta 2, as a new feature to respect user privacy, apps that call CAltimeter in Core Motion must include a string in the plist file to receive the data, and on iOS 17.5 and watchOS 10.5 and later, the built-in app now crashes if the plist does not contain No chains.
The iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5 developer betas include four bug fixes for StoreKit, including an issue where tapping the Terms of Service button could cause a crash.
Most of the features that Apple promised to bring to iOS 17 have already been released.
The iOS 17.5 beta adds a new Quartiles game for Apple News+, Game Center Leaderboard integration, a color-matching Podcast widget, and the ability to download apps directly to your iPhone from a website in the EU, a feature not available in Japan.
The iOS 17.5 beta is available for free to all users who have registered an Apple ID, but we recommend using it on a secondary device as there is a possibility that your iPhone may become unusable due to bugs.
Additional articles will be released with more information about new features and more.
