I tried connecting the MX Brio to the top of my computer screen. The adhesive part sticks to the back of the screen, and the claw on the front of the clip holds the front of the screen, making it very secure. The MX Brio weighs about 175 grams which is quite heavy, but it never fell due to the weight while using it.
I tried connecting the Brio C1000s to the monitor. The model I borrowed this time had a folding buckle, but it gave the impression of being stuck further back than the MX Brio's buckle.
I compared the two models from the front with the two models mounted on top of the screen. The MX Brio has a subdued metal design that won't stand out from the rest of the room, but compared to the Brio C1000s, the bulky lens portion stands out and has a strong presence, and the Brio has a sense of unity with the screen. I felt the C1000s was better. However, while the Brio C1000s cannot rotate the camera left and right, the MX Brio has a magnet built into the mounting part with the mounting clip, so the point is that the webcam can be rotated left and right.

In addition, the MX Brio is equipped with a dual-beam microphone, which gives the impression that it picks up sounds more clearly than images captured with the Brio C1000s.
The following images were taken using both cameras under dark lighting conditions with most of the lights in the room turned off. As you can see from the comparison, the MX Brio is brighter than the Brio C1000s. MX Brio is also equipped with an AI-based image enhancement function, and you can clearly see that the saturation of the skin on the hands and neck has increased.
The MX Brio also has an extra range of motion that allows it to move back and forth to the mounting clip that acts as the mount. So, you can easily take a photo of your hand by simply tilting the camera towards you without removing the camera body.
The following movie shows the actual scene found with the MX Brio. The MX Brio is equipped with a function called “Show Mode” which automatically inverts the image when you take a photo of yourself. I found it very convenient that I didn't have to go through the trouble of removing the webcam and adjusting it when I needed to take a photo of myself.
After actually using it, I found that the MX Brio can display brighter, clearer images than the Brio C1000s, and can record clearer audio with reduced 3D noise. When having an online meeting for work, the webcam image often becomes dark in a dark room without windows, but with MX Brio, the image is bright even in a dark room, so you don't have to worry about the lighting conditions. I felt like it was an easy to use webcam. In addition, View Mode, which automatically turns your hand to show it in the forward orientation, can also be used when viewing documents in hand during an online meeting, or when displaying the operation of a gadget or controller in hand during a broadcast.
However, the MX Brio is quite large and conspicuous, so some people may feel uncomfortable if it is placed permanently on the screen. The mounting clip and camera body are attached with magnets, so when not in use, you can quickly remove it from the clip and put the camera body away. It also supports tripod screws, so you can mount it on your camera holder or tripod.
