Gaming PC 2023 (1440p – 144Hz) – Swiss Edition

Good evening,

I’d like to finally retire my current option (Ryzen 5 1600 / GTX 1060 6GB) and buy something new.
Some components are “old” and already showing signs of failure.

1. Do you want to play on PC? If yes, what?
Currently: League of Legends, Diablo 4, a little cyberpunk (although that’s not really fun with the box at the moment), Satisfactory
In the future: Cities Skylines 2, anything that comes along can be fun for me (preferably with very good quality settings)

2. Do you want to use the computer to edit photos/music/videos or similar? As a hobby or are you a professional? What software will you use?
Edit approximately 5% of your photos with Adobe Lightroom

3. Do you have any special requirements or wishes (certain brands and manufacturers, overclocking, a particularly quiet computer, RGB lighting, …)?

I can do without RGB and overclocking

4. How many screens do you want to use? Model, resolution and refresh rate (Hz)? G-Sync/FreeSync? How many FPS do you want to see?
I’d also like to buy a new monitor as part of my new purchase – I was considering a 27″ monitor with 1440p resolution and 144Hz refresh rate (I’ll also be using the monitor as a laptop for my business)
It works and some programs cause a “problem” with 4K resolution and the necessary scaling)

5. Do you still have an old computer, and some of its components can still be used?
Everything will be retired

6. How much money do you want to spend?
About 2500.- CHF (about 2500 EUR) – My configuration listed below is about 2650.- …this would be my absolute pain threshold

7. When should I buy a computer?

Until almost the end of the year

8. Do you want to assemble the computer yourself or have it assembled (by the shop or by helpers (include as poster))?
I’ll put it together myself

9. Do you want to stream your content to your computer (eg via Twitch/OBS)? If yes – what games/content? Do you already have parts for a streaming setup? (Multiple monitors, microphone, camera, streaming surface, …)?

no

So, since I am from Switzerland, there are only two shops that are questionable, I prefer.”Digitech
I have chosen the following components based on the themes:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Cooler: Deep Cool AK620 WH
Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi
ram: G-Skill Flare X5 2x16GB DDR5 6000MHZ CAS30
SSD: Samsung 980 Pro (Heatsink) 2TB M.2
Transducer: Be calm! Pure Power 12 m 750 watt
GPU: MSI RTX4080 Ventus 3X OC
issue: NZXT H7 streaming

a screen: Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQL1A

I’ve been thinking for a long time about which architecture I should use, but I think with the AMD variant I’ll be relatively future-proof for the next 5-7 years. I’ve read countless GPU related threads, but the more I read the worse it gets.
Initially the RTX 4070Ti, RTX 4080 and RX 7090 A good 270.- less and with the RTX 5XXX 2025 series you can upgrade again).

What do you think about the choice of ingredients? (I have no idea about the display, and the GPU selection isn’t 100% fixed either)
