Racing fans with a soft spot for management simulation have reason to be happy, because for once Formula 1 is chosen as such and not as an authentic racing game.
Today, Frontier Developments announced F1 Managers 2022 at. The new management bracket is set to launch this summer, after Frontier signed a licensing agreement with F1 in early 2020. It’s the studio’s first foray into an annual sports licensing and part of a long-term cross-title agreement with F1. Release planned for Xbox Series X / S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4 and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store).
In F1 Manager 2022 you are managing a Formula 1 team and you have to take care of your drivers, engineers and fans. The goal, of course, is to win the World Drivers’ Championship and the World Constructors’ Championship. Thanks to the license, Frontier wants to ensure a high degree of authenticity and promises to deliver a “TV-quality presentation”.
There are many aspects to managing your team: cars and facilities need upgrades, drivers and engineers need budgets and driver needs – all before the start of the race at the weekend. In order to lead your team to victory in the next race, you must remain calm even under pressure, because one of the crucial decisions awaits you.
More details and the exact release date of the new management simulation are still pending.
