Esports – Wolves Esports and MNM Gaming reach major qualifiers – Sports

COPENHAGEN (AP) — European teams Rainbow Six, Wolfs Esports and MNM Gaming have qualified for the main qualifiers in Copenhagen. Thanks to a solid performance, both teams won their matches on the last day of the group stage 2-0.

Victories for the teams from France and England also meant a trip home for two Asian teams: MNM Gaming sent home the South Korean team’s Sandbox Gaming (7:1, 7:5), and Wolves Esports eliminated the big Japanese entrants. From Varrel (7:2, 7:4).

The day began for Wolves with a 7-4 loss to the Brazilians and the favorites in the final match of Group D. However, coach Lori “Lelon”‘s team had a second and final chance – and took advantage of it.

The R6 Major in Copenhagen is the first major international tournament of the season. Through May 7, the remaining 16 teams will battle it out in the Danish capital for the main title, their share of the $750,000 total in prize money and qualification points for the Six Invitational in Brazil.
