Dubai is known for its innovative mindset. Not only is the tallest building in the world located in the city, but Oktoberfest is also scheduled to take place there this fall.
Artificial rain due to high temperatures
In temperatures that can climb to 50 degrees today, Dubai is taking action that was not possible a few years ago.
With the help of drones that shoot electric charges into the clouds, it makes Dubai rain like it does not depend on mentioned. Lumps form in clouds which leads to precipitation.
In large parts of the country, it rains so heavily that cars can no longer drive. No chemicals will be used when artificial rainfall.
Professor Martin Ambumbaum explains this to BBCwho is involved in the current Rainmaker project at the University of Reading in the UK.
Earth cooling ideas
Climate change continues to progress. Research is also advancing in its efforts to reverse climate change, or at least slow it.
The startup BiomiTech recently introduced artificial trees made of metal that can convert carbon dioxide into oxygen. One of these trees should be able to purify the air as much as 368 real trees.
But there are some other ideas for tackling climate change. Some are more, some are less environmentally friendly. Artificial volcanic eruptions, white cities and a real “mirror” of the ocean are a problem.
