Construction Completed – In-Game Renovations Complete

Since the beginning of April, construction workers, construction vehicles and roadblocks have lined up at Gaming. Now the construction work to renovate part of the road from L 6172 and the general overhaul of the Gamingbach Bridge has been completed and the result is impressive. From now on, there is no longer any sign of uneven road, cracks in the asphalt and time damage to the bridge railing. The week before, State Assemblyman Anton Erber formally completed the large-scale renovation.

Due to its poor condition, the road no longer meets today’s traffic requirements. Several time damages were also seen on the Gamingbach Bridge at the start of the construction site. So renovation was inevitable.

For this reason, the Games City, in cooperation with the state of Lower Austria, decided to renovate the motorway (from Junction B 25 / L 6172 to Junction Schleierfallstraße) and carry out an overhaul of the Gamingbach Bridge.

The road has been given a new look with a total length of about 500 metres. Street lighting was also renovated as part of the laying of fiber optic cables and roof drainage. Existing docks and storage areas were also reconstructed.

The renovation of roads and sidewalks was associated with a total cost of €609,000. In addition to Traunfellner and the Games’ road maintenance division, regional construction and delivery companies were also involved in the construction work.

Another major project was the renovation of the Gamingbach Bridge, which included repairing the ridge girders and bridge trusses and replacing the waterproofing. The bridge maintenance department in Ashbach and the contracting companies in the region worked in record time, because the general repair was completed after only two months.
