CES 2024: TCL shows off QD Mini LED technology in large format

TCL broke down the big screen at CES 2024. The company introduced, among other things, a 115-inch QD mini LED TV. A look at the third generation of Nxtpaper technology was also given.

CES was held in Las Vegas from January 9-12. As part of the technology trade fair, TCL also showed what the Chinese manufacturer is currently offering. The products displayed included a 115-inch QD mini LED TV, which is the first device of its kind in this size, according to the manufacturer. The TV has over 20,000 local dimming zones and has a maximum brightness of 5,000 nits.

Aside from the TVs, TCL also introduced the new version of its in-house display technology Nxtpaper. The third generation screen technology, designed to look like paper when writing, reflects natural light as if users were reading a book, according to the manufacturer. This is made possible by “circularly polarized light” technology.

Enhanced Nxtpaper technology also automatically adjusts color temperature based on ambient light and provides a higher refresh rate. This technology was integrated into the 50 Series smartphones, which were also showcased at CES. You can read more about the devices here.
