Technology employs 3,000 people at Bosch worldwide, most of whom work on the combustion engine to date. The Stuttgart Group is now increasing its investment plans by €1 billion.
The Stuttgart-based Bosch Group secures more than 3,000 jobs worldwide through its commitment to the hydrogen economy. The company explained that the majority of jobs at Bosch dedicated to various hydrogen technologies will be filled internally, especially with employees from the leadership department. The Feuerbach plant in particular, with its huge diesel footprint, is having major problems maintaining jobs in light of the shift to electric mobility. Hydrogen is seen as an opportunity to shift employment from traditional combustion technologies into new areas. Bosch President Stefan Hartung previously explained that a hydrogen fuel cell has many components that are closer to a combustion engine than to an electric motor.
