Assassin’s Creed’s red female shinobi character art has been revealed

Assassin’s Creed’s red female shinobi character art has been revealed

It appears that art for the female shinobi character appearing in Assassin’s Creed Red’s Codename has been revealed.

The photo was spotted on top writer Pierre Boudreau’s LinkedIn profile via his Twitter account @AccessTheAnimus.

As Insider Gaming exclusively reported, Assassin’s Creed Red will feature two playable characters in the series scheduled for release in 2024. One is a female shinobi, as shown in the leaked character in the official teaser for the codename Red, and the other is a male African samurai, who is supposedly based on On the real samurai Yasuke.

Officially, Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Red will be set in feudal Japan.

Insider Gaming has learned that Assassin’s Creed Red is set to focus on stealth, taking features and inspiration from the likes of the Splinter Cell series. For example, players will be able to use shadows to hide themselves as well as turn off torches to stay in the dark (similar to shooting off lights in Splinter Cell). Enemy corpses can also be picked up and moved to hard-to-find locations. You can read more about Assassin’s Creed Red in our report here.

Codename Red is set to be the next major entry in the Assassin’s Creed series, with several major entries in development. Assassin’s Creed Hexe is expected to be released in 2026, with several other projects in development. Unannounced Assassin’s Creed games include Nebula, Raid, and Echoes.
