Apple rejects and blocks the “UTM” application that allows you to run Windows on iPhone
It has been revealed that UTM, a general-purpose PC system emulator that can emulate Windows and Linux on an iPhone or iPad, has been denied listing on the App Store.

Separately from UTM, the developer had developed a functionally limited version of “UTM SE” that met App Store requirements and was undergoing review for publication.
One of the recent events was allowing emulator apps for older game consoles to be distributed on the App Store. It seems that the developer knew about this fact and thought that PC emulator apps would also be allowed.

But after about two months of review, the answer was “no.” Apple's response was that although the guidelines state that it “allows game emulation”, this does not apply to UTM SE. Additionally, UTM SE has been determined to be ineligible for a verified review guaranteeing the identity of third-party apps, and has been ordered not to be distributed in third-party app stores.

The developer complained that “UTM SE can also emulate games,” but added: “We believe that the experience provided by the Limited Edition of UTM SE is substandard and not worth fighting for, so Apple will stick with the content and unless Apple changes its stance.” “We will not spend additional time or effort to make UTM SE available in the App Store or third-party stores.”
UTM for iOS can still be downloaded from “AltStore” etc. The Mac version of UTM is available on the Mac App Store.
