Amazon Web Services experienced an outage

AWS provides cloud computing services, which allow customers to rent data storage and processing capabilities over the web rather than running their own data centers. The division also sells machine learning tools and other technologies to its customers.

In the previous year, the outage had crippled companies including Amazon-owned Ring security camera service, iRobot’s Roomba vacuum cleaner app, and services from design technology firm Autodesk and the publishing systems of news outlets such as the Washington Post.
