After Fortnite was banned from the App Store, the first ways to continue playing the popular shooter on iPhone or iPad were already available last year. Cloud games like Xbox Cloud and GeForce now make that possible. Another alternative is now available: Fortnite is available on Amazon Luna.
The cloud gaming service launched in Germany in March, and Prime members with an active subscription can now play Fortnite directly in the cloud. Either via the Mac app or on iPhone and iPad directly in the Safari browser luna.amazon.de.
You also have the chance to participate in Fortnite’s seasonal events, and play on islands developed for Fortnite using the recently announced Unreal Editor. You can also link your existing Epic account to complete your Battle Pass.
In addition to Fortnite, Amazon added the following games to its Luna+ library in May: Tormented Souls, Retro Classix: Breakthru, Retro Classix: Express Raider, Retro Classix: Super Real Darwin, and Retro Classix: Wizard Fire. However, these titles are only available with a paid Luna subscription. During the month of May, Prime members can also play four games as part of the Prime Gaming promotion at no additional cost: LEGO DC Super-Villains, Resident Evil 2, and Overcooked! And time on Frog Island.
