The list of funds with the biggest losses in the first half of the year is much broader in terms of investment focus than the list of top-performing funds. Losing strategies focused on Latin American stocks, small-caps, or water and biotech stocks. But global bond funds also lost 4.6 percent or more. The biggest loser of all was the Itau Latin America Equity Fund, a fund specializing in Latin American stocks.
