“Zepp Life”, which was used as a management app for Xiaomi smart band(Old name: Mi Fit)It has finally become unusable on the Xiaomi Smart Band 8. Xiaomi Smart Band 8 has “Mi Fitness”(Old name: Xiaomi Wear)“It is being used now.
I would love to continue using Zepp Life if possible, but since I have no choice, I will migrate my data and use Mi Fitness.

How to migrate data from Zepp Life to Mi Fitness
When Xiaomi’s smart band was called Mi Band, it used Zepp Life, but now it uses Mi Fitness. You can now transfer the data recorded by Zepp Life to Mi Fitness.
Install Mi Fitness
Assuming you are using Zepp Life, first install Mi Fitness on the same smartphone.

Transfer data from the top of the app or from your profile
When you start Mi Fitness and log in, the top page says “You can now transfer your Zepp Life data to Mi Fitness!”
Click on this orIntroductory account→Third Party Data→Zeb’s lifeGo to data transfer in the same way.
Log in to ZIP
When you click on the transfer button, the Zepp login screen will appear, so log in with the account you used in Zepp Life.
Verify the data to be transferred
The type of data the Mi Fitness app is trying to read will be displayed. As you can see, there is a lot of data. In particular, it does not appear that it can be turned on or off, so leave it as is.Allowhandle.
Data transfer
On the next screenOpensClick to return to Mi Fitness and start transferring. It seems to take about 10 minutes to migrate 1 year’s worth of data. You don’t have to stay on this page forever.
Data migration is complete
In my case, I’ve been using it for about five years since the Mi Band 3, so it took about an hour and a half.
Now, it looks like I can sign up with the Mi Fitness app from now on.
The difference between Zip Life and Mi Fitness
I previously wrote an article about the differences between Zepp Life and Mi Fitness, especially regarding their appearance.
However, his appearance seems to have changed slightly since then. You can also get a sleep score (beta feature). Other differences I noticed…
- Unable to connect with Google Fit
- Unable to link to Mi Smart Body Composition Scale (Xiaomi Scale)
…Thats all about it. I don’t place much importance on Google Fit integration (for me), but it’s frustrating that it doesn’t work with the scale. If you’re just using the scale, it won’t display things like body fat percentage, so you won’t be able to transfer it to another app that records it. Hmm…should I consider another measure?
summary
In fact, I would love to continue using Zepp Life, but if I can’t use it with the Xiaomi Smart Band 8, I can’t help it. I’ll try to record it here again.
However, if you collect records like these, you won’t be able to transfer to a smart band from another manufacturer. It would be nice if this became a common standard and we could import/export, but I don’t have much hope.
