San Francisco The race for supremacy in the field of artificial intelligence is heating up. Just hours after a Facebook Meta group announced a new AI paradigm, San Francisco startup OpenAI has followed suit. OpenAI announced Tuesday that the company’s existing models will be improved, more complex system requests will be made possible for the first time and prices will be reduced by up to 75 percent.
OpenAI created a buzz around AI applications with the introduction of the ChatGPT script bot. Systems called “generative AI” are capable of producing text, images, and music. The McKinsey Global Institute predicted in a study presented Wednesday that the technology could lead to annual efficiency gains of between $2.6 trillion and $4.4 trillion worldwide. “We see huge advantages with AI,” study leader Michael Choi told Handelsblatt.
