Who will be the fastest to check all the boxes in their own box? Conceived by Karin Hertling and published by NSV, Triggs sells itself as a race in classic throw-and-write form.
How are Triggs played?
Players must use the 108 number cards, distributed evenly over the values from 1 to 12, to place the values from 1 to 12 as cleverly as possible and then mark them. Values can be achieved with not only one card, but also two cards. For example, a player can say, “I discard scores.” He discarded ten cards and two pairs consisting of seven fifty-three.
In this case, the player can then place three dozen on his blocks. If a player succeeds in completing a full row, they can immediately make another cross in any row. This can trigger nice chain reactions that lead players to victory quickly.
Are Triggs fun?
At first glance, Triggs looks a bit sober. Subtitle “Enough of the extra moves!” Makes me breathe so hard: Rhyme or I’ll eat you! Well, I don’t want to be like that and I’m going with Triggs.
A big surprise while having fun!
The instructions are short and sweet and we can start playing quickly. There are no questions.
But a fun game that we didn’t expect!
Our ambition then evolved very quickly, as cleverly as possible, to discard relevant values and generate chain reactions. From the first phrase “Okay, let’s test it.” B – The plans of the opponents were thwarted.
Triggs has also been well received by children. Of course, the number range up to 12 should be good enough to play on its own. If not, you can also play Triggs publicly or with support. If the players are ready, Triggs can also be played with younger children.
Language neutral and barrier free!
I would also like to stress that Triggs can also be played great with players who speak little or no German. I always find it great when games build bridges and overcome, for example, language barriers.
For us, Triggs isn’t a full-length game (twenty minutes of playing time is about right). But they are always on the table as an appetizer, appetizer or in between. Other Triggs will be bought for the kids at my school!
