Celebrating SAMYANG’s 50th anniversary, the “AF 85mm F1.4 FEII” lens appeared after the second generation 35mm F1.4 and 50mm F1.4 models. Besides the excellent accuracy, the adoption of the STM motor enables quieter, faster and more accurate AF.
Equipped with a dedicated switch and focus hold button for improved operability.
It is suitable not only for photography but also for video.

Features
Small size and light weight

The AF 85mm F1.4 FEII is designed to be more compact (99.5mm total length) and lighter (509g) than other Sony FE mount compatible 85mm lenses, while achieving excellent resolution performance. It also supports video shooting on a stand.

High resolution and beautiful bokeh with a large F1.4 . lens

Of the 11 lenses in 8 groups, 5 special lenses are optimally positioned to achieve high-resolution performance even with a maximum aperture of F1.4.
Four high-refraction lenses and one extra-low dispersion lens deliver high contrast and clarity from center to periphery.
It has 9 aperture blades and does not use an aspherical lens to create smooth, beautiful bokeh.

Quieter, faster, and more accurate AF with STM Linear Motor
SAMYANG’s unique Linear STM is suitable for both photography and videography.
Focusing works quickly and accurately in photography, and autofocus works quietly and smoothly in video.

High operability ideal for professional users
The focus hold button can be used to select the focus position and assign Eye-AF functions by adjusting the camera.
By adopting a dedicated switch, it is possible to adjust the aperture with the focus ring during autofocus.

New exterior design
It has a red streak that disappears when the hood is attached, a small-pattern focus ring, and a matching black exterior.

In addition, a seven-position weather seal is provided to protect the lens from rain and dust.
