A solar system startup is gaining new managers for its technology and product areas. Berliners recruited one on eBay.
The photovoltaic startup is expanding its management base. As the Berlin-based company announced, it now has a new chief technology officer and a new chief product officer. Turpin Schuelnus became chief technical officer. He was responsible for engineering at Xing’s career network for several years, most recently as Senior Vice President. After leaving there, he was responsible for startups NewStore and Cargonixx in a similar role.
New Head of Products Richard Forslund comes from the eBay Classifieds Group, which includes the German eBay Classifieds portal. There he was in charge of the product area.
“With Torben and Richard, we have won two highly experienced technical experts and international experts for Zolar,” said Zolar CEO Alex Melzer in light of personnel decisions. Melzer founded Zolar in 2016 with Gregor Lucides. The company sells and rents solar energy systems to homeowners. The company now has 330 employees across Germany.
