Microsoft announced that the Meta Store, a company that sells games and apps for virtual reality devices, will do soGame arcade“, which supports cloud gaming.Xbox Cloud Games (Beta)Distribution has begun.
You can now play cloud-enabled games on Game Pass Ultimate!
How to start playing and what you can do
This program was announced at “Meta Connect 2022” held in October 2022.
Cloud Play, which comes with Microsoft’s cutting-edge “Game Pass Ultimate” subscription service that allows unlimited play of compatible games, will now be available on Meta Quest 2/3/Pro consoles.
To start playing, go to the Meta Store and then navigate to “Xbox Cloud Games (Beta)Installed.
Simply sign in with your Microsoft account that’s already subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate and connect your Xbox Wireless Controller via Bluetooth or USB Type C. You can instantly play compatible games without installation in an environment where you can use the Internet at speed appropriate (20 Mbps recommended).
Big screen playback is possible in virtual space
Actual gameplay is done by looking at a screen located in a virtual space that resembles a large room in space, built in the colors of the Xbox logo. You can switch the screen size at any time between 4 types: S, M, L and XL. With XL, you can play on a huge screen that covers your entire field of vision.
Additionally, when I tried out “Vampire Survivors” as a work that supports smartphone touch controls, I was able to confirm that it was not compatible with the Quest’s Touch controller. As we mentioned when starting up, a controller is required.
It also appears that the MR function revealed in “Meta Connect 2023” has not yet been implemented.
