Xpeng also wants to introduce its G6 SUV coupe, which will be launched in China in 2023, in Europe. This means that the model range of the brand, which was founded in China in 2014, has grown to three model series in Germany. Just a few days ago, Xpeng launched the P7 electric sedan and G9 electric SUV in Germany Announced for May. Xpeng also wants to open order books for the G6 in May, and the electric car should be in showrooms in the summer – with 24 sites set to open across Germany.

Like the G9, the 4.75-metre-long G6 is based on the electric platform Ciba2.0, which can handle up to 280 kilowatts of charging power thanks to its 800-volt architecture. A 10 to 80 percent charge should be possible in 20 minutes. There is a choice of two battery variants of 66 or 88 kWh, so a range of between 435 or 550 to 570 kilometres. The smaller battery is available for the rear-wheel drive version with 190 kW/258 hp. The Long Range model is also rear-wheel drive with a large 210 kW/286 hp battery. The top version is the 350 kW/476 hp AWD Performance all-wheel drive system, which accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in around four seconds and reaches a top speed of 200 km/h.

Xpeng promises the G6's spacious interior and 571-litre boot. The cockpit is tidy. In the center of the dashboard is a 15-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. In addition, all versions are equipped with 20-inch wheels, a panoramic glass roof, air-conditioned front seats, a heated steering wheel, a smartphone charging base and an audio system as standard. Xpeng offers a warranty of seven years or 160,000 km. Prices should start around €50,000.
