Xiaomi Poco F6 Pro Smartphone Test – It Can Do More Than Just Gaming

Xiaomi Poco F6 Pro Smartphone Test – It Can Do More Than Just Gaming

Until now, Poco has clearly focused on the performance and gaming themes of its devices. With the F6 Pro, this strategy has been toned down. The device should not only be fast, but also deliver good photos and videos.

The core is the 50MP main camera with OIS and Light Fusion 800 sensor. According to the manufacturer, it should be particularly bright. It is flanked by an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro camera. A 16MP camera is used in the front.

The F6 Pro produces videos at a maximum resolution of 8K and 24 fps, but only without HDR. At 4K, 60 fps is possible, and at 4K and 30 fps, HDR mode can be selected. However, strong video stabilization can only be achieved at 1080p. Recordings with the front camera are usually only possible at 1080p.

The results of the main camera are convincing. The recordings are sharp and have good dynamics. Sharpness drops noticeably only at close range. In general, the saturation of the recordings is very strong.

Even shots in poor lighting conditions usually work well. The software not only illuminates all areas, but also creates aerial shots. Photos from other lenses are noticeably inferior in comparison. The ultra-wide camera is usable, but wasteful.

Selfies are successful with the front camera, but they are not on par with the main camera. The F6 Pro also offers a Pro mode to manually adjust white balance, focus, exposure time and ISO. The teleprompter function for videos is also integrated into the software. The AI functions cannot be activated in the camera app. They do not appear in the gallery either, but can only be activated centrally in the settings.
