Windows 11 is just a few weeks away from release. As can be seen from the current configuration of the operating system, two functions that are popular among users will disappear in the latest version. In society, this does not exactly bring happiness.
Microsoft will downgrade the system tray in Windows 11. It has been known for some time that the context menu, known from previous versions, triggered by right-clicking, will disappear in the new operating system. At the same time, you see in vain the option of dragging a file into a file and dragging it into an app.
Now in the current build of Windows 11 like Windows Latest Found, Some changes will be made in the calendar. With Windows 10, users always had the option to open the calendar processor by clicking on the time display in the lower right corner of the taskbar. Assignments can be entered here, and the sync function was later adopted in other Microsoft devices’ calendar applications as well.
Windows 11: Calendar can no longer be called via the clock
However, in the new operating system, users have to do without it: in Windows 11, the calendar link on the clock is explicitly removed. Initially thought to be a bug, it has now turned out to be a deliberate move by Microsoft to strengthen Windows widgets.
Surprisingly, many users are not very happy with this change – especially since the calendar widget is often criticized for being too confusing with messages and other elements.
There are some incomprehensible changes in the clock
Another change that only a few users can understand is that in Windows 11 seconds are not displayed explicitly in the timeline. However, Microsoft is aware that this may not be the case for operating system testers. The company said it was “very interested in the matter” and would send it to the developer team.
With Windows 10, users were able to click for a few seconds before opening the clock. This “Registration Hack” has been removed in Windows 11.
