The Science and Technology Sector of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) launched, on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, the second edition of the Youth Training Program on establishing and developing emerging projects in the field of technology and innovation in the country. The program benefits 10 ISESCO Member States and includes a two-day training camp in addition to an intensive session of 4-6 weeks for the participants to apply the training they have received and thus start preparing their projects.
At the beginning of the second edition, which was held on September 20, 2021 remotely, Dr. Muhammad Sharif, Advisor to the Science and Technology Sector at ISESCO, explained that this program aims to improve the skills of young people in the Islamic world, through young people developing pioneering and innovative companies in the field of technology, and encouraging investment. in human capital in the areas of science and entrepreneurship. He also praised the great success achieved by the first edition of the aforementioned program, which was organized in Baku.
For his part, Mr. Alim Khemitov, CEO of the business incubator “Most” stressed the importance of ISESCO’s training program in creating a work environment that encourages young people in the Islamic world to be creative and innovative to develop their talents. and strengthen their ambitions.
In his speech, Mr. Ramil Abakirov, Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, praised ISESCO’s initiative in praising the role of youth in bringing about positive change and its leadership in the world.
The program aims to support the creative economy in the Islamic world, encourage technology startups and launch more than 150 companies by the end of 2025. A special jury from each country will select the three best teams who will submit projects for participation in the final stage. Presenting their projects to a number of donor institutions and investors and obtaining the funding needed to implement it.
